Practice makes perfect!

    Lately we've been practicing sitting with Evelyn, she's gotten so much better!!  She can sit all on her own on the floor for seconds at a time, and minutes if you help her by holding her hands.  My baby is getting so big!! I bet she'll be sitting unassisted within the next couple months! I'm so proud! When she's sitting I say "momma's big girl!" and she looks at me and smiles!! I think she's proud of herself too!!
    We've been eating our rice cereal so much better now!!  Just a little messy, but tastes the same no matter what!

Summer Summer Summertime!!

    Yay warm weather warm weather time!!  Can't wait to go up north and on a hot day bring Evelyn into the water.  Well, until that time I'll just have to dress her in cute summery clothes.  My mom is kinda of a shopper when it comes to baby clothes, Mom, I can't wait to start dressing her in the clothes you got her!!  I have some cute pictures of Evelyn and I laying on the bed in one of my favorite outfits of hers.
    I also have some pictures of her and Daddy, I think she's going to be a daddy's girl!!!  I just hope she comes to me too when she has a boo boo or she has a bad dream.  Nick's trying to make her into the ultimate girl by teaching her the ways of the guy... well Mr. Nickolas, she's a girl and I'm going to teach her the ways of the female and how to deal with you guys. :D Ahahahahahahaha BAH!  Here are some pictures to satisfy your Evelyn loveys.

Smiley Girl

    Lately Evelyn has been a lot more smiley and laughing much more.  If she sees someone she's not quite familiar with it might take some coaxing to get her to smile, she can be a serious baby and if she doesn't know you yet she concentrates on you to determine of a smile is warranted. :)  Good thing to do for anybody of any age. :)
    Evelyn's favorite thing is when mommy makes funny faces at her, also, she loves to smile and then quick as a flash quit smiling when you try to capture it on camera!! :P STINKER!!  So here are some pictures (one of which I snatched of Evelyn smiling)!

Catching up!!

    Evelyn is now enjoying the taste of her feet!!!! :D  And enjoying having blowout diapers at least once a day..... yay for me. :(  I've also been trying to get her to sit in her bebe pod thing but she doesn't seem to be able to hold up her own head well enough for that, even though she does when we hold her.  We had her 4 month old wellness appointment yesterday, the doctor said we're doing a fabulous job and whatever we're doing to keep doing it!!  Although she might need to wear a helmet because the back of her head is a little flat. :(  She now weights 12 lbs 7 oz. and is about 23 inches!!  (born 7 lbs 9 oz. and 20 in.)
    We've been having lots of fun lately, lots of smiles and laughs from her!!

CROSSLAKE, MN

    Evelyn had her first (of many) weekend at John & Pam (Grandpa & Grandma)'s cabin/lake house on Crosslake.  It was a great, she did really well on the car ride, 3 1/2 hours!!!  She slept most of the time and then we just had to stop in Onamia to feed and burp, the ride home was good too, she slept until we were between Milaca and Princeton, I fed her a little bit in the car and then we stopped in Zimmerman and I fed her some more, she finished the rest in the parking lot of the Rogers Target, she was up the rest of the time home with only a brief fussy moment but her monkey rattle is such a blessing!!!
    While we were up at the cabin Evelyn enjoyed the company of her Grandpa John, Grandma Pam, Auntie Carla and cousins Hunter and Celia.  We had a great time, while Evelyn was sleeping we played some "13", Scrabble, puzzles and watching Harry Potter (the 6th one) and Tangled, the kids seemed to like both.  Evelyn went on her first pontoon ride of her life!!!  She was so excited she fell asleep, lol.  While she was sleeping we did some fishing, the day before Nick caught a 14 lbs(ish) fish + 11 or so others, I caught about 4-5 fish, and Hunter & Celia assisted in reeling in some of Nick's fish.  It was great.  AND IT WAS DONE LEGALLY, we bought fishing licenses, too bad all the fish we caught were Bass. :(  Bass will open up soon I think? Anyways, here's a couple pics of her on the pontoon. :)

My FEETIES!!!

    Lately Evelyn has taken a fancy to her feet... yes her feet!  She likes to slide down in her bouncy chair so she can curl her legs up and try and get at her feet.  LOL, it's pretty darn cute if I say so myself!  She also likes to bring them together and watch them interact with each other..... so exciting!  :D  She is fascinated by them, they keep her entertained, it's hilarious.  She's also getting really good at rolling over from her stomach to her back, and today she rolled over from her back to her stomach.  This past weekend she's also gotten so so so SO much better at laying on her stomach and using her arms to push herself up to a 45-90 degree angle and holding it there and looking around!!  So proud of my little angel!!  The peanut is gonna be a mover and a shaker when she gets going!!  Also, she's become pretty fond of chowing down on peoples fingers, her gums are really lumpy and she likes to chomp chomp CHOMP!!  We're gonna see some teeth in the next couple months!!

3 Months Old

    Sorry it's been a little while since I've written, just wanted to say a quick Happy Birthday Mom!! :)
    This last Sunday we went and had lunch with my parents, my Grandma Betty and my Aunt Linda, it was nice to sit and visit with them. :)  Evelyn has been doing so well with tummy time lately, and she's been more active and almost rolling over, her arm just gets in the way cuz she doesn't tuck it in.  She'll get there, and soon I'm sure.  Yesterday she had her first REAL laugh, before she would kind of laugh/coo, but this was like a real laugh!!!  It was absolutely adorable!!!!  Made me so happy!!  Now that Nick is back to work his sister Carla has agreed to watch her a couple times a week, such a big help!!!  Now that Evelyn is 3 months her personality has just been growing and growing!!  Last night I was a little :( because she like woke up every hour!!!  Needless to say, Nick and I are extremely exhausted today, especially since I had to work the early shift.  But Nick is going to let me sleep in tonight. :) YAY.  I have lot's of pictures backed up so I'm just going to put them all on here.
